As an artist I belong to the surroundings, which are marked by many conflicts and contradictions, but I am reflecting them with a distanced perspective. Contradiction between traditional values and modern ones, our rooting out and the attempt to plant us back, current term of Nostalgia – a memory disease, which stops us to use our past meaningfully, as Christopher Lasch puts it, are all part of my work.
In my later works I worked with the notion of Tradition. I asked myself, what does tradition mean in our post-socialist society?

The focal point of the exhibition is the process of perceiving the local through the prism of the „other“. Based on subjective impressions and points of view, the project aims to comprehend and analyze the indigenous, in order to scrutinize and elaborate on its subjects. Although individual works seem to revolve predominantly around issues of the social, their meaning functions on multiple conceptual levels and thus avoids the notion of presenting a reductive view up on reality.
